Our Banh Xeo starter, which was slightly disapointing i have to say. In Vietnam these are a brightest possible yellow and have lot of fresh herbs and pork with the prawns. “Viet” just had prawns and beansprouts, and im sure we could get better Banh Xeo in London somewhere.

Pho - The London chain
Main players in the UK Pho market, Pho have four different restaurant sites now.
We hit it yesterday for some Pho action.
i had a Bun Ga Hue, with Pho noodles. It was deliciously spicy with an extra fruityness than can only be orange zest. Nice.
@karlwoolley had the same, whilst @gooders_30 went with the Pho Ga
Good restaurant. Perhaps not as authentic as the family run alternatives in...
Quick trip to NAM this lunchtime
Love this place.
The kind lady behind the counter even gave us cut shoots of Thai Basil that we can plant.

Rick Stein, the famous British seafood chef, has recently completed a fantastic TV series where he travels South East Asia looking for recipe inspiration.
Naturally, one of his main revelations is the glory of Pho.
I thoroughly recommend investing in this excellent book of recipes from the show. It features a plethora of authentic Vietnamese dishes.
